Anti-Labor Legislator Tries to Hide Missouri Right-to-Work (for less) Vote
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Missouri House Member Holly Rehder (R-Sikeston) is planning to introduce legislation to move Proposition A to the August ballot. This is a cynical ploy as her big business supporters know voter turn out will be lower in August than during a mid-term election in November. It is crucial the public stays informed of the date. Show her and her anti-worker lobbyist friends that Missourians care about fair wages and public safety no matter when they hid the vote. Learn more about so-called “right to work Legislation” and why it completely ignores the crucial role unions play in public safety and our economy in our prior post by clicking here “Right to Work is Wrong for Missouri”
At Etzkorn & Etzkorn we generally avoid posting political opinions online. However, as we have said in this Blog in the past, the so-called Right to Work legislation is a direct attack at the livelihoods of the workers and laborers in our community and is a public safety issue. We are deeply concerned with the efforts of the State Legislature to set aside the interests of the people for the benefit of the donors. We highly recommend you vote NO on PROP A. We are so confident that people of all parties can see through the real intent, we recommend you read the legislation for yourself. Our Blog will continue to update with any changes in the date of this crucial election.
